Poured from a 12 oz. capped bottle (no date) into a pint glass.
A strong pour yields a 1/2-finger cream-colored head that quickly dissipates in a minute or so to a thin, messy dusting and thin foam ring. The body is a perfectly clear copper amber with a fair amount of small, slow-rising carbonation bubbles. Great lacing clings to the glass in sheets between sips but never lasts long.
Sweet, bready malts and grassy hops aromas combine nicely with an overlying spiciness to create a well-balanced nose. Notes of biscuits, whole grain bread crusts, caramel, and toffee.
Each sip starts out just like the nose with flavors of sweet malt, grassy hops, and a slight spiciness. As the beer is held in the mouth, notes of toffee, butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, and green tea leaves become discernible. Upon swallowing, the caramel, vanilla, and green tea flavors really come out, giving this beer a medicinal character. A slight grassy bitterness lingers on the tongue between sips.
The body is light to medium, allowing a decent amount of flavor to come through without losing great drinkability. The carbonation is only slightly fizzy and does a great job of assisting in the drinkability without being overly noticeable.

This is one of my all time favorite beers. If I'm having a hard time making up my mind on what I want to get, this is one beer that I can always rely on for all around good times. The first time I tried it was on tap at a Ducks game in Anaheim and I was first taken in by it's sweet smell. Then I took a sip and have been hooked ever since
This beer goes down smoothly and in a very welcome way, likes to linger on your tongue. I'd gladly recommend this beer to anyone looking to try craft beer.
