look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4

Cold 12oz bottle into tulip

Appearance - Crystal clear and amber, 1 finger head doesn't stay too long but leaves a whisky foam cap which creates good lacing

Smell - Clean and toasty/nutty malts mostly, faint fruity esters and floral hops in the background

Taste - Fits smell to a "T": malts are front and center with semi-sweet toasty bread and nutty complexities followed by a bit of floral hop astringency and fruity yeast esters, finishes just off-dry and malty with slight, drying hop bitterness.

Feel - Crisp and smooth, but feels a bit on the heavy side for a medium body. You'd think that would mean "syrupy/cloying", but it finishes reasonably dry.

Overall - This reminds me an awful lot of a Marzen festbier, toasty and malty but with heavier ale-like yeast qualities instead. It just doesn't have the same lager-like drinkability. Still, a pretty tasty beer if you're feeling like an easy to drink malt-forward brew.
