Sampled from a 22oz bottle I picked up while in the Bay Area.
A deep brown with a hint of red and great clarity. Aroma includes toffee, prunes, raisins and more. Flavor follows with lots of dark fruit complexity and a mild sweetness. It's firm and powerful but balanced and smooth. The alcohol is clearly there but not dominant. Creamy with a nice low carbonation.
This is a powerful beer but with none of the rough edges you get with many American brewed big Belgians. Great stuff!

A: Deep brown in color. The head was tan/white and dissipated quickly.
S: Rich Belgian malts, toffee, tobacco, dates, and charred caramel.
T: Everything that a Quad should be. Big, bold, and flavorful. Sweet malts, great bourbon notes, and a crisp touch of Belgian yeast esters.
M: Big and rounded on the palate. Doesn't leave the mouth too fatigued.
O: Awesome beer. Will definitely drink again.
