Poured 2014 vintage into Lost Abbey Teku
A-Appearance is a beautiful deep amber with a crimson tint and no foam whatsoever, no lacing at all.
S-Aroma of sugared cotton candy, sticky molasses, bourbon, hinted roasted malts, toffee, malted barley, and faint cocoa nibs.
T-Taste is sticky melted candy, melted caramel, melted molasses and bourbon upfront. Immediately followed by slick toffee, oak, root beer, sugary caramel, and oak notes. Finish is relatively boozey with honey and more sticky malts resigning on the palate.
M-Mouthfeel has a medium body with soft carbonation.
O-Overall another great BA beer from Firestone. A very balance beer that is never in full force with bourbon. Was lucky enough to stubble on at TW since I missed out on draft the day before at Frisco.

A: Deep brown in color. The head was tan/white and dissipated quickly.
S: Rich Belgian malts, toffee, tobacco, dates, and charred caramel.
T: Everything that a Quad should be. Big, bold, and flavorful. Sweet malts, great bourbon notes, and a crisp touch of Belgian yeast esters.
M: Big and rounded on the palate. Doesn't leave the mouth too fatigued.
O: Awesome beer. Will definitely drink again.
