A: Poured darkish brown with brown sugar highlights. Less than a finger of head during the pour that quickly vanished. No lacing minimal coverage.
S: Layers of bourbon, vanilla, and wood with a light twang of lemon zest. After waiting a bit caramel and barley tea.
T: Like a bourbon croissant with caramel, chocolate and butter. The drink is quite sweet initially with vanilla playing a major role. This lays nicely on top of a malt profile exuding caramel and fresh baked croissant. The bourbon is not as big in the flavor profile as expected but presents itself throughout as a constant spice. Amazingly, this brew transitions into a smooth chocolate note in the mid swig and then finishes lightly sweet with long smooth alcohol burn and notes of barley and bit of grass.
M: Medium but heavy on the tongue with no carbonation.
O: Where do I get more? This brew was amazingly complex and interesting to drink. Each swig revealed new layers. A must try!
