22 oz bottle, 8.3% abv. Nearly pitch black color with a nice looking tan head. A few shades of mahogany at the edges. Nice retention and some good looking lace here.
Piney hops leap out of the glass. A hint of a catty note as well. Roasted malts follow in the nose adding some complexity. Maybe earthy at the end.
Sharp roasted malts up front, slightly charred. Rosary component lingers for a while. Sharp hop bitterness comes in with a pine feel. Seems like an almost minty feel as well. Interesting combination.
Medium body with ample carbonation. Very slight warmth from alcohol. The combination is interesting and goes well together. Nice beer.
