Served from a 22oz, into my Founders tulip.
A - Beautiful beer. Sits in the glass a nice black color with a very nice desert sand beige head. Light only gets through on the edges. Surprising too, as this one poured a stream of a cola like color. Lacing like a champ.
S - Citrus, roasty malt notes and a slight hint of bbq smoke. This is a great aroma, I just wish it were more pungent. Not one note steals the show, they all work together very well.
T - Citrus up front followed by the smokiness I had in the aroma. It buttons off at the end with the roasted malt note. On the bitter end for sure, but it's not overpowering.
M - Thinner, but appropriate I think. With this big of beer, a little more thickness wouldn't hurt.
O - Extremely solid brew from FW, once again. This one sits behind Stone Escondidian in the category, but not by much. And that's saying a lot, as Stone's was a truly remarkable brew. Firestone does good once again.
