bomber to myself. it was bottled on 10:48 on some month and day in the year 2012 (cant make out either of those
A: i would call this body a very hazed, very dark brown. head is off-white and more on the brown side. terrific retention and a thick chunk of lacing.
S: hoppy and very american nose. so many hops. makes me think im smelling a deeply IPA-tastic brew. there is definitely some roasty undertones but this nose is all about the hops.
T: bubblgum at the start. sweet before getting bitter. a touch of alcohol right in the middle. the rye starts things off and lingers throughout the finish along with plenty of bitterness that i would say is mostly imparted by roasted and chocolate malt.
M: pretty subtle/moderate carbonation on a medium body.
D: this stuff rocks. the rye adds a whole new dimension of flavor that works great with the extreme amount of hops used. the nose is still super hoppy but it is not a complaint for me. great brew.
