Happy Columbus Day 2012
A: Poured a midnight black with little to no head to mention. Some rather large bubbles hang around the perimeter. Carbonation appears perfect, with just the right amount of fizz.
S: Dull pine, spicy grapefruit, earthly peat, floral bouquet, roasted malt, milk chocolate.
T: Layers upon layers of flavor. Oily hops, dark espresso, tea leaves, citrus, honeycomb, and hints of sea barnacle assault my palate.
M: Smoother than cocoa butter. I'll leave it at that.
O: Standout beer. One of the best black ales I have had. The flavor for this style is superb along with a perfect mouthfeel jets this one to the top. FW keeps the good times coming.
