If you have tried some of FW other offerings, some might see this a sort of a letdown. Had some on a recent trip back to the central coast.

Ahhhh the "805" (thats SLO, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties if you were wondering---and home base for me) has a beer to call its own. Occasionally you might see it in the central valley (probably due to distribution contracts--Costco).

Its a blonde ale so don't expect something with 8 tons of flavor and complexity. Just like life in the 805, this is pure and easy. I had it in the past when they first created it and was kind of so-so (I would always go for Pale 31).
Recently I shared some with family and everyone really enjoyed it. Its one of those beers that can be enjoyed by the craft beer crowd or the light beer crowd--just a tasty good time. It tastes like a really good version of like your standard light beer with a fuller body and a bit more flavor. If you are heading to Pismo, camping in SLO, or chilling in Isla Vista, just about anyone who wants a beer will enjoy it. So it might be a little "bigger" than bud light or more bland than the IPA's you're used to. Yet, the beauty of this beer is it casts a wide net.

Final Though: Its a beer that everyone can enjoy. Get some tri-tip and fire up the grill! (1,270 characters)

Good carbonation. Wheat-grainy taste. Nice blond color. One of my faves. (72 characters)

It's a very drinkable beer. A slight sweet bite at first taste with a sweet aromatic finish. I really enjoyed this beer while visiting Cali this past weekend. A big plus to find a beer that is what it is, Just a decent local beer. It not usually a fan of blonde ales but this one makes me want to try more. (306 characters)

Bottle (2012)

Clear golden with a small off-white head that leaves the glass clean on the way down.

The aroma is of simple grain and some dishrag, unfortunately. Simple, yet not particularly pleasant.

The flavor is similar to the aroma, with simple grain, low bitterness, and a bit of earthy yeast character.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Not that good, but completely expected for the given style. (414 characters)
