Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pub glass.

I've always liked the look of a pilsner and this beer is no exception. It's exceptionally clear, has robust carbonation, and an attractive pale golden/straw color. There's a finger thick head that dissipates into a layer of lace that persists well. This beer could win on looks alone.

As advertised, there's a big hop profile on this. Big in the sense that the beer is exceptionally floral and almost dank. Still, it's also very sweet and biscuit-like, maybe even giving off some granola aroma.

Some new traits make their presence felt on the palate: zest and lemon. There's a light mouthfeel that is refreshing and makes me want to drink more. I don't detect as much sweetness on the tongue, as the beer is dryer and slightly bitter. There's still something biscuity or even cracker-like, and this flavor lingers on the tongue.

I really like this beer. Forget session IPAs, this will do the trick if you want an easy-sipping, yet full-flavored beer.

Very bright, straw colored golden beer with good clarity and a thin white cap head. Smell is bready malt and faint floral and citrus notes. Taste is a smooth creamy pilsner with a slightly bitter hop profile with a sharp bite that doesn't linger too long, floral dry hopping notes and some black pepper spice. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel. Overall a wonderful session lager for a beer nerds pallet.

12 oz bottled on 04/16/14. Served in a pint glass. Beer pours pale yellow in color, not quite transparent, with a medium white head. Super pilsner hop aroma reaches across the room to smack you in the face, as if to say, "hey, there's a pilsner here, why aren't you drinking it?" (Note: benefits from being served in a glass.) This is apparently thanks to dry hopping with Saphir, a relative of German Hallertauer. Flavor is in line with expecations: super crisp, sharp bite of hops, though not overall particularly bitter. Finishes really dry. A great example of the style.
