Consumed March 27th, 2014 at Blue Palms Brewhouse, Hollywood CA.
Appearance: beer is an extremely pale light gold. One finger white head quickly becomes splotchy lacing.
Aroma is grassy and grainy.
Flavor is malt forward: cereal (corn and rice?). Slight amount of citrus, then a thin bitterness. Very simple flavor profile.
Lacking in floral or spicy hop notes, this beer did not satisfy. Have had from a bottle as well and did not enjoy then, either. Will not have this one again.
Serving type: on-tap

12 oz bottled on 04/16/14. Served in a pint glass. Beer pours pale yellow in color, not quite transparent, with a medium white head. Super pilsner hop aroma reaches across the room to smack you in the face, as if to say, "hey, there's a pilsner here, why aren't you drinking it?" (Note: benefits from being served in a glass.) This is apparently thanks to dry hopping with Saphir, a relative of German Hallertauer. Flavor is in line with expecations: super crisp, sharp bite of hops, though not overall particularly bitter. Finishes really dry. A great example of the style.
