From 02/03/13 notes. Had this on tap at Ginger Man in NYC. 16 oz. pour in a pint glass.

a - Pours a somewhat transparent bright yellow-gold color with one finger of fluffy white head and high carbonation evident.

s - Smells of pale malts, pilsner malts, floral hops, earthy notes, bread, and grains. Nice floral notes, not as hoppy as I was expecting.

t - Tastes of pale malts, wheat, grains, pils malts, floral hops, earthy notes, light spice, bread, and yeast. More spice than the nose.

m - Light body and moderate to high carbonation. Body is lightly watery.

o - Overall a decent pilsner but a bit disappointed after hearing it was great. Also was expecitng it to be hoppier based on the name but oh well, a good pilsner none the less. Easy to drink for sure.

A-Pretty and pure. Pivo Pils looks like the perfect Pilsner. Crystal clear, pale yellow, huge, frothy head. Loads of lace. Good start.

S-Doesn't really tread into the India Pale Lager category; this is a true Pilsner in the nose. Whenever I sees newer Pils that stresses it's hoppiness on the label, I think India Pale Lager. It's well hopped but it still smells very Pilsner like. Noble, grassy hops and some lemon with a well balanced pale, sweet cracker malt.

T-The flavor is pretty balanced but the hops sneak back around and slap you in the finish. It's pretty straightforward; it's a tasty Pils. Grassy, grainy, doughy. Pleasant.

M-Light bodied, peppy and sessionable. I love the ease of drinking here. Tickling bubbles. Aftertaste doesn't linger much.

O-I enjoyed this. I would offer this beer to friends who aren't super entrenched in the beer world and I bet they'd like it. I could see this in my fridge again at some point.

12oz. bottle served in a pilsener glass. Bottled on 04/03/14 indicated on the label. Pours a translucent golden-yellow with a fluffy, three-fingered bright white head. Copious tiny bubbles are present effervescing in-solution and adhering to the walls of the glass. Some residual textured spots of lacing are revealed during the tasting. Nose is grassy and expresses light, pale, biscuity malts and a hint if lemon. Taste is crisp and clean - consistent with nose with a kiss of fruity esters and a light, residual noble hops earthy bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a crisp, nearly clean finish. Just an all around excellent Czech Pilsner. So glad to have had the chance to try this one fresh.

A - Very pale yellow gold with small head that quickly dissipates.

S - Bready. Can't find the hops.

T - Malty graininess and bitter, but not in the hoppy way I was expecting Was expecting more on the hop side of things in terms of flavour. Very smooth and clean.

M - Smooth and crisp and clean. Lots of bubblies.

O - Not what I was expecting, wanted a more of a IPA hop taste mixed with a pilsner feel. Instead, got mostly a pilsner.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, bottled on 3.21.14.

A very pale yellow color in the glass, aroma is citrusy mixed with minerals. A nice hoppy edge to a pils as the flavor really stands out with the traditional graininess but with loads of hops. Very easy to drink, perfect summer ale!

Consumed March 27th, 2014 at Blue Palms Brewhouse, Hollywood CA.

Appearance: beer is an extremely pale light gold. One finger white head quickly becomes splotchy lacing.

Aroma is grassy and grainy.

Flavor is malt forward: cereal (corn and rice?). Slight amount of citrus, then a thin bitterness. Very simple flavor profile.

Moderately dry.

Lacking in floral or spicy hop notes, this beer did not satisfy. Have had from a bottle as well and did not enjoy then, either. Will not have this one again.
