A small place in downtown St. Louis with an amazing tap list. I really did not like the atmosphere, but I'm chalking that up to visiting at 8:30 on a Saturday night. I felt out of place because I was not under the age of 30 or wearing designer jeans. However, I think it could be a really good atmosphere on a week night or in the afternoon. The shelved displaying their bottles was really cool as was the long line of taps. I had three beers and they all tasted well taken care of - ie clean tap lines, fresh, etc. Service was okay. I cut them slack on the scoring because of how busy it was. The selection is great. So many choices. Some small locals - like 2nd Shift and Charleville. Some semi-rare Belgians - like a Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge. I did not try the food, although I've heard good things about their cheese plates.

Not too long ago, I embarked on a solo 3000+ mile road trip that took me from New Jersey back to San Francisco, CA. My only solace for the long trip ahead was that I had set up my road trip so that I would end up at an amazing brewery at the end of each pit stop, and had friends in said cities that were able to put me up for a night or three.

Fast forwarding through some of the boring details, it struck me as I was driving through the buckeyed state of Ohio that the brewery I was planning to visit in the great city of St. Louis does not open until Wednesday every week, and I was scheduled to arrive at St. Louis late Monday evening. When I got to my first pit stop at Munster, IN, I fortunately ran into a St. Louis native who was able to confirm my tragic discovery, but at the same time, provide me with some great advice on where to purchase and drink beers from said brewery, even on a Monday evening.

And that brought me to Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar. First of all, I really love the ambiance here. There's something for everyone--if you're here to party and be a bro/a general noisy nuisance to everyone around, there's an area up the stairs for private parties; if you want to just come sit and enjoy the sun on a warm, but probably closer to muggy Missouri afternoon, there's a patio area right outside; but if you're like me, and prefer the more relaxed, lounge experience, Bridge Tap House is perfect for that as well.

I ordered the Charcuterie board and the Cuba, MO. First of all, this is probably the only place with an amazing beer selection (details to follow) that also lets you assemble your own Charcuterie, a task which was actually a little too intimidating for me to do alone, so I ordered their "house" Charcuterie board. I don't know what else goes inside the chicken liver mouse outside of the chicken liver, but I think this was the first time I ever tried to dip/spread anything and everything into a mousse of any sort and felt that I needed more spreading surface. TLDR; it's freaking brilliant. The Cuba, MO--despite its somewhat confusing moniker--was as perfect as the beautiful bartender that recommended and served it to me; I had no idea what Emmental cheese was prior to trying this culinary masterpiece (I actually had to google it prior to ordering) but its masterful combination with the mojo roasted pork turned me into a believer.

Finally, as promised, the beer. If you're looking for any of Missouri's finest craft beers (all the ones that don't start with "Bud" and end in "weiser") you are at the right place. Not only will you find your share of amazing Perennial/Boulevard/Schlafly brews both in bottles and on tap here, they also have a very meticulously curated and gigantic (over 30+) rotating selection of America's finest from California to Florida and back, plus an even more immense selection of rarer bottles available (this is another one of those few places where you should definitely check if Cantillon/Drie Fonteinen is in stock)

I will definitely be back in St. Louis to make up for the lack of Perennial/Side Project visit; if all else fails, I know I'll still have bridge tap house as a formidable pinch runner.

Made several trips here during a recent trip to St Louis.

V - Hip, modern décor. Makes a very good first impression. Bar is on the right side with an impressive number of taps, many of them local offerings - Perennial, 2nd Shift, 4 Hands, Civil Life, Urban Chestnut. Nice display of interesting and sometimes rare bottles on the wall behind the bar.

Q - Everything is top notch here - appearance, menu offerings, beer & wine offerings, service

S - Even when busy the bar service was excellent - generally two bartenders and an attendant for a relatively small bar (about 10 seats). Bartenders were friendly and knowledgable and could make suggestions for beers when posed with a question about the selection.

S - Beer selection was quite good. I really liked the breadth of local offerings on tap being a visitor to the area. Excellent bottle list also - was able to try Perennial 17 from the cellar. Lots of different styles represented - not just 30 taps of IPA's - saisons, sours, IPA's, stouts, wheats, Belgians...quite diverse.

F - Menu looked outstanding front to back. I stuck with simple cheese and charcuterie selections for some lighter fare. Unusual and quite tasty popcorn appetizers too. Plenty to choose from for all sizes of appetite and food preferences - not just simple bar food.

O - Really nice place that we were lucky enough to find. Great location downtown within walking distance of the stadiums/arenas and the arch.

Went there with my wife for the first time last week. I had been meaning to go there for a while, but was finally motivated to do so by the bartender at one of my regular brewpubs.

Great looking place, 55 brews on tap. Mostly microbrews but with a few good, hard to find on tap Belgian brews. We tried about six different 4oz. pours before ordering a pint each with our dinner. The food alone would be worth a trip to this restaurant/bar even without the great selection of beer. They seem to make most of their food from scratch including several different pickled veges of which we liked the cornichons best. Very nice mix & match cheese and charcuterie plates.

This place is the opposite of what most locals prefer, which is Bud Light and toasted ravioli. We are very happy that David Bailey, who is a well respected restauranteur with several other successful restaurants, opened the Bridge Tap House. Highly recommended.
