After Sycamore, this place usually gets some of the best beer in town in terms of special tappings, kegs, casks etc... Ragtag is a great little movie theater where you're able to take in food and beer while you watch a film. Ragtag shares their space with Uprise bakery, which makes great sandwiches (as well as bakery goods, bread, etc...). They have 5-6 taps that are usually spread out in terms of style and a cooler filled with bottles. Very relaxed space to kick back and have a beer (also have a patio space).

Ragtag is an art house movie theater with a bar and cafe-like setup that leads back to the actual theater. You can take you food (from Uprise Bakery) and beverages back into the theater.
The bar is small with ten taps. On my last visit they had 3 Schlafly brews (APA, Pils & Irish Stout), Bear Republic Hop Rod, Founders Dirty Bastard, New Belgium Dark Heather Saison, Andeerson Valley Hop Ottin' and Left Hand JuJu Ginger. The featured attraction that night was the Schlafly/O'Fallon/New Albanian collaboration beer, C1: Oak Aged Smoked Rye Pale Ale. They had a nice collection of bottles and cans - Ashland, Founders, New Holland, Schlafly, Sam Smith's, etc.
Service was decent despite the big crowd for the special event. I got both of my beers promptly.
The food is good. Uprise does an interesting menu - sandwiches, pizzas, bread plates, soups, etc. The prices were good. Pints ranged from $3.50 to $5.
I have not seen a movie at the new location but it's always a good experience. Certainly worth stopping in for a pint or two.
