Served in 12oz flute. Poured a cloudy white-yellow color with about 3/4 inch of white head that had OK retention and very light lacing. The aroma was built on a nice grain base, with a bold yeast scent upfront and some spices floating around the back.
The flavor profile also started out with those nice grains, then the yeast and spices came through. The beer was a bit tart and had just a touch of pleasant funk at the back.
The body was good, medium and crisp, fairly typical for a Saison. Drinkability was pretty good, but a lot would depend on one's taste for yeast spice and funk. Overall, a nice little beer that to be more of a cross between a Saison and a Wit than a straight Saison (if such a thing exists). Certainly worth trying if you see it.
