Pours a honey gold color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. No discernable aroma. Tastes of caramel with a hint of fruit. Smooth with a nice hoppy bitterness.

I had this as a sampler on tap at the brewery. Pours a golden color with bubbles rising to the top, no head. There wasn’t much of an aroma. The taste was all bitter, but not very well-balanced. The bitterness had a harsh bite, almost making it sour. This just lacks the citrus or pine character you find in most IPAs, and it lacks the especially flavorful qualities of a double IPA. Unfortunately, just not very good.

A big thanks to sailbretthd for sharing a growler of this.
A - Poured a clear, golden yellow body with a thin, white cap...that cap held itself nicely with the help of the carbonation bubbles...nice lacing
S - Fruity and floral hops stand out the most...the nose suggests some sweetness...a strong caramel backbone is also lingering
T - The flavors aren't much different from the nose...there is a fruity presence from the hops that adds to the caramel sweetness...the level of sweetness is adequate as it never has the chance to become overpowering...bitter hops come in at the finish to cut the sweetness and leave your palate tingling
M - Medium bodied...crisp and clean...bittersweet finish
O - The people in Fenton are missing out on this place...albeit this DIPA wasn't shocking, it was still pleasant to have...their beer menu also looks promising...thanks again Brett
