Thanks to goveia75 for this 22 oz. bottle - with a beer name on it! Good job, Cycle! Split with my wife, & expectations are high after the Hazelnut bliss a few nights ago. Bottled 6/15 & received a couple weeks ago in a fantastic trade.
Black. Smells a lot like my fond, faded memories of Vanilla Rye - plenty of spiciness from the rye barrel, lots of vanilla, malt sweetness & roast. Lovely.
Nooner Batch 9: my wife & I should have split this about 12:30 PM on Wednesday. As advertised, vanilla still prominent, with a much bigger barrel presence than I’m used to from Cycle beers, with a good rye whiskey kick. Marshmallows, bittersweet chocolate, lactose, maple char round out the experience. Standard Cycle mouthfeel, but with this vanilla, I could drink it until the Twins lose. Which, right now, is looking like never. Woohoo!
After a limp handshake of an introduction, this latest batch of Cycle beers seems to have firmed up their grasp. No rug-cutting here, just an excellent beer.

Looks like a stout should. Pretty fine carb. Maybe one finger head that didn't last long.
Smell is big on the vanilla, as is the flavor (with the barrel notes lurking pleasantly In the background. Vanilla get even more prominent in the finish and hits kind of a sasparilla kind of note. Reminds me of vanilla coke at moments too.
Medium bodied. Think kbs viscosity.
Enjoyable but not as good as I was hoping. My only other cycle Ba stout experience was pallet 3, which I though was thicker and certainly more barrel-forward.

All to myself I took my time and savored the bottle.
Roast is not too prominent, lots of cocoa. Vanilla is there but not very strong. Mouth feel is super viscous with an almost fluffy characteristic.
