On tap at Peg’s brewpub. Cycle brewing series. Bitter, big IBU taste, from big citra? But always hard to tell the hops. Grapefruit, lemon, a little astringent. Cloudy grapefruit colour. Hoppy aroma.Very decent pale, outside of the acid. Sutably carbonated.

First had: on tap at Peg's, Gulfport, FL

Extremely tasty pale ale here, verging on IPA territory, and reminiscent of the fresh hoppy goodness you'd expect from Hill Farmstead. Pale banana yellow liquid, cloudy, loaded with floaties, with a nice white head that receded to a thick ringlet and left lots of lacing on the glass. Burst of fresh hops in the nose, lemon zest and fresh-cut grass. Taste was similarly crisp and hoppy, lemon, grass, with a biscuity pale malt base that took a back seat, but was still present, blending with the hops mid- to end-palate to create a somewhat floral effect. Crisp, medium body, refreshing and full of flavor. Very nice overall.

Thanks to djmichaelk for sending me this fresh growler.

Pours a thick straw with a large pristine white head.

Smells great--bitter grapefruit, juicy orange and pineapple, lots of fruit, sweet and bitter at once. Smells like a hopped up IPA not a pale

Hmm, taste is a little different--tangy lemon lime, some juicy mango, hints of grapefruit. Fairly sweet at first, lots of zesty citrus, fades into a more bitter finish. Purty tasty, not quite as much of a hop bomb as I expected from the nose.

Carbonation is decent, mouthfeel kindof oily, nothing wrong with it but I imagine it was more impressive before spending several days in a growler.

Very nice pale ale, wouldn't complain about having this around as a session beer.

Had this on-tap at the awesome brewpub.

Served in a pint glass.

A: Poured a fairly cloudy, gold color, with a sticky white head to boot.

S: Smelled like it was going to be crisp and hoppy. Totally fresh and not overbearing in any way.

T: And it definitely WAS crisp and hoppy. Tons of grapefruit and whole leaf astringency without too much of a West Coast flair.

M: The carbonation was great and perfect for this style. Moderate lacing.

O: This was truly a great APA and ranks up there with the big dogs.

On-tap at Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen, poured into a tulip taster glass thing.

A- Pours a hazy golden color, topped with an inch of white head, nice retention and lacing.

S- Smells very nice, lots of fruit, nice blend of citrus, tropical fruit, but also some pear/apple. Some grassy, leafy bitterness and pale malt. All of this smells great but is also pretty subtle.

T- Nice subtle fruitiness, with more pear, pineapple, mango. Has a mild grassy bitterness and subtle pale malt sweetness.

M- Medium to light-bodied, has a smooth feel, slightly dry finish. Very easy-drinking.

O- A really enjoyable pale-ale. Has a lot of flavor going on but it still very easy to drink.
