From a growler I had filled yesterday at Peg's Cantina. Brewed with lactose.
Totally black with a short light brown head.
Nice aroma of roasted malt, molasses and coffee.
Nice roasted coffee flavor with a hint of sweetness, while there's also a dry twang reminiscent of an Irish dry stout.
Creamy and thick body.
Overall a fine porter. This is a style that's hard to get wrong: I can't remember having a bad porter.

32 oz. growler poured into a Teku snifter.
Appearance - Slightly transparent black. Nice khaki head. Good surface wisps and a nice collar.
Smell - Nutty and roasty. Slightly sweet.
Taste - Roasty. Lots of bitter chocolate. Nutty caramel. Sweet. Bitter as soon as the sweetness abates.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. Well carbonated for the age of the growler.
Overall - Decent porter. Maybe would have tasted better earlier in the tasting.

This poured out as a deep brown color with a nice tan head on top, good retention and moderate lacing. The smell of the beer is robust, malty and has subtle chocolate. The taste is roasted, bottle and dry. The mouthfeel is light bodied and dry with subtle carbonation. Overall this is a solid porter.
