500 mL growler poured into a snifter. Graciously shared by Doug.
Appearance - Brown body with some reddish flecks. Nice off white head. Thick collar and lots of chunks.
Smell - Whiskey. Not like bourbon. Spicier and nuttier. Peatier too. Caramel and nutty malts.
Taste - Sharp whiskey flavor. Again, it's got a spicy flavor. Caramel malt. Very nutty. I'm amazed it doesn't have nuts added to it, really. Some chocolate, but it's got more of an emphasis on nutty brown malts.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy. No carbonation issues. A little boozy.
Overall - This barrel is great. The beer is a little masked, but that doesn't bother me so much.

750 mL growler courtesy of robbiemoy13 pours a murky dark brown color with a fluffy tan head. Decent retention and lace.
Nose is Cocoa Krispies mixed with raisin-rum bread...alcohol, malt and fruit. Smells delightful.
Oh, this is nice! Coconut flavored rice with cocoa dust with some macadamia nut oily mouthfeel. This beer is awesome, ,love it. Great flavor, great mouthfeel - finished this off in record time, couldnt stop drinking it.
