Stopped by on a recent trip to Tampa/St. Pete. It is a small place with a bit of seating inside and a patio. A pretty plain place, cozy might be a good description.
The beer is very good, I went there for the house beer, but they had a few other nice things on tap. They were out of a couple of the house brews, it seems they brew on a pretty small scale. This has its up and down sides; they may run out of what you came for, but there is always something new waiting to be put on tap. The IPA stood out in particular, hazy and obviously unfiltered with a very nice hop profile.
The service was very good, we came in late and there weren't a lot of other people there. Even so, you can tell that they care about what they are doing.
The food was quite good as well. Standard southwestern/tex-mex fare, but well done at a reasonable price.
I don't know that I will make it down there again as it is a bit out of the way even if you are already in St. Pete, but it is well worth checking out and I would visit regularly if I lived nearby.

My wife and I stopped here to try their beers and to have dinner while on vacation. Peg's is located inside a converted bungalow type of house, and there is a quaint coziness to it with the decor that they have installed. I didn't see the brewing equipment for Cycle Brewing, so I don't know if the beers are brewed on premises or not. The neighborhood is a mixture of small homes and other businesses that are also in former dwellings. It's a cool neighborhood.
We arrived early enough to take a table on the patio at the front of the building, and the weather was perfect for the evening. There appears to also be a covered deck to one side of the building that would allow for more outside dining, especially if it was raining. The small bar and a few tables were located just inside the front door.
There were 12 beers on the menu, but unfortunately only 7 were available. Bummer! We ordered a sampler of 5 of them, and then later ordered a pint of one of the others. Each of the beers was right to style, but this brewery tends to specialize in sessionable beers, thus none of them had an ABV over 6 percent. There were three different session IPAs, and each was less than 5% ABV. To me, with sessionable beers, there is a somewhat lack of a zing to the flavor, and each of these beers exhibited that characteristic. If you like mild-flavored, GOOD beers, then these beers are very good examples of that. I'm not a fan of this type of beer, but I appreciate that it is difficult to brew beers like this, so I'm not going to rate them negatively. You just have to know going here that the beers won't knock your socks off flavor-wise.
The food was good and each of our entrees had a special twist to it that makes them unique to this restaurant. I'd love to try other things on future visits, and regardless of the session beers, I'd go back again.
