A - Golden pour with a bubbly white foam on top. Some lacing is noted. Hazy look to the beer.

S - Citrus notes of lemon and other fruit scents are there. Slight musky smell of damp grains is present.

T - Tartness of lemon with a small hint of peppery spice. Tangy yeast strain gives the finish a puckering bite. More of a fruity saison than the typical style.

M - Smooth feel, medium bodied saison. Carbonation is minor and less than appearance. Slick oily feel.

O - First crack at Stillwater and I enjoyed this. A good farmhouse ale for the warmer months.

On tap to worthy burger sniffer

A: golden honey totally see through with a big fluffy white head that goes away quickly but leaves solid lacing

S:you eat some of the farmhouse smell you expect from saisons but not pungent. On the other hand you can definitely smell the hops

T:fairly hoppy for a saison but I like it that way there is hints of that farmhouse taste but it is more light then bold

M: oily and pretty smooth with a crisp bite but does seem a little thin/watery very drinkable for

O: this is a decent saison but nothing to go crazy over needs more flavor and smell but pretty good drinkable beer worth a try if its not an effort

Pours a clear light golden with half inch ivory head.

Aroma consists of wet hay, apple esters, and belgian yeast.

Flavor reveals a sweet malt character accompanied by wine must, vinous notes, and a slightly dry, peppery finish. Citrus is evident throughout.

Body is moderate, with carbonation a touch on the high side.

Most sour of the 4 offerings I've had tonight. Good citrus character, a little funk.

Thanks to match1112 for another great BIF beer. Tasted 12 January 2013.

It's a gusher, pouring foam out as soon as I pop the cap. Pours a hazy medium golden orange yellow. Two fingers of white head, thick and foamy with lots of teeny tiny little bubbles. Good retention and excellent islands and peninsulas of lacing.

Smell is on the high and light side for a saison. Some pungent yeast. Vinous, with white grapes and flowers. Some fruit as well, unidentifiable citrus. Some herbal hops, plus underripe peaches. I want more depth, more solidity.

Taste is similarly high and light. Grainy, lightly sweet malts that scream "yellow". Second half is a wide smooth bitter fade. Lots of fruit, too - peaches, apricots, a touch of pineapple. Not too much to commend it, not much to offend either.

Feel is good. Medium-bodied, fluffy carbonation that lasts. Leaves more tingle than flavor.

A decent saison, though it's not the side of the style that I prefer. Little funk, more light-fruity, flowery, and hoppy than I like. But not bad.

A: Pours a slightly hazy pale golden-orange with a big white head of foam on top. Lots of bubble action going on. Nice complexity in the body of the color -- something like a gradient of colors. Preliminary lacing isn't looking that good. But, this is pretty good overall.

S: Citrusy -- mostly lemon, but not the hop forward aroma in IPAs. Yeasty. Bready. Just really -- very strong lemon peel. Some spice in there. Not bad -- actually the aroma is quite strong. Kind of conflicted here. I've smelled Saisons. Just above average to me.

T: Something like a lemony, peppery, yeasty, bready brew. Not bad.

M: Comes across smooth and creamy. Really nice body feel for a Saison -- not feeling very watery. A nice medium body. Most Saisons, I feel, are overcarbonated. This is pushing it, but works fine. Very nice feel.

O: There are some good parts of this brew, and there are some very underwhelming parts of this brew. I can think of dozens of better Saisons and Belgian Ales that I would prefer before this. Not that it's a bad offering. The appearance and Feel are quite nice. Good effort.

Bottled: unk

Hazy golden with a couple fingers of lingering, wafty cream foam. Smells of co2, spice, a touch of citrus, some clay, a little bit of belgian yeast, and a good dose of light malts. Flavor is legit with yeast, creamed corn, sweet malt and a little touch of coriander and slightest hint of peppercorn. A little bit of herbal hops in there as well. Medium bodied with hi carb and a quick slick finish becomes slightly dry after a moments notice. Really good beer. Everything I've had from this brewer makes me happy.
