Served from a 12oz bottle into an Affligem Goblet. Hot 89 degree day in NH.

Appearance- Hazy golden with big chunks floating around. Minimal head, but appears to have ample carbonation.

Smell- Lemon, bananna, clove, coriander, and floral hop notes. Nothing special here. Remind me of any old saison.

Taste- Very yeasty/bready with light peppery notes. Pretty hop forward, but even though its a fresh bottle, hops taste muted and subdued, not in a bad way though. Dry. Dry. Dry.

Mouthfeel- Nice and carbonated. Refreshing, but dry. Doesn't stick around the palate for too long.

Overall- Nothing spectacular, but worth the single price I payed for it. I'll definantly try other Stillwater offerings, especially now that they're in 4 packs.

Pours a clear golden honey orange, Sediment from conditioning gives it a hazy complexion.
A tall head sits on top and is bright white. Lacing abounds. Billowing amounts of carbonation. Billowing.
Smells dry and tart with plentyof floral hops wheat and pilsner malts yeast and spices.
Taste is sweet malts honey and caramel dry tart hops having floral and perhaps even tropical notes yeasty esters gave a slight spicey taste but quite sutle.
Drinks on the medium side but also has a lightness due to billowing carbonation.
Finishes sweet dry and bitter. An excellent saison that surely could compete with the more famous ones.

Pours bright orange with a chill haze, a head that disappears but leaves a bubbly foam ring and some splashy lace.

Dried malt, some yeast, some peach nectar and perfume, white pepper in the nose.

On the dry side, but just a drop of fruit (needed). Some yeast and white pepper, some woody flavors, moderate bitterness, a little grass. Mild fruit and bitterness at the finish with some light funk.

Nice carbonation here. Light-medium in body. Fizzy on the tongue.

Not as much flavor depth as imported version, but this one works well. Nice balance, easier drinking as you get thru the glass.

12 oz bottle poured into Boulevard Tulip.

A: A hazy cloudy dark yellow almost light orange with a huge foamy sticky looking bright white head with great retention and lacing, medium carbonation.

S: Great citrus followed by a good phenolic aroma very characteristic to this style and very similar to Dupont, perhaps similar yeast strains, which is what they proably mean by "classic farmhouse ale yeast". Spicy as well as a tad bit sweet on the nose and also some orange peel sweetness.

T: Great tartness right at the start followed by a great bitterness. Its not sweet or as citrusy like the aroma but rather bitter with good yeasty spiciness. Also, can definitely get a little bit of that Farmhouse phenolic thing going on, which is what I was hoping for. Great beer and am loving the bitterness as well as the spice with just enough citrus. As it warms I also get some maltiness in the finish mixed with the bitterness ans also more citrus with the increase in temp.

M: Great bitterness lingers for days. Medium carbonation, starts a bit tart (not sour at all by any means) and finishes dry leaving you craving another sip. Yeasty spiciness also lingers with the bitterness, balance is slightly towards bitterness but regardless, still to style and refreshing.

O: I really enjoy this beer a lot and try to pick up a 4-pak whenever I see it on the shelves. I'm a big fan of the boys over at Stillwater and encourage everyone to try their stuff as they will not be disappointed. Balance is a bit bitter, which I like, and initial tartness is absolutely satisfying. Great yeast character that helps drive the entire beer. A must have Saison in my book and a go-to Saison, especially for the price when compared to some more popular imported examples. Great Beer.

Beer pours a beautiful hazy golden amber color with a 3/4 inch light head. Smells of wheat, straw with a sharp tang. Taste is not quite what I expected, very dry with a sharp hop presence and a lot of carbonation. Mouthfeel is again very dry and carbonated, you can definitely feel the near 7% ABV after a few sips!

Overall I think this is a very well saison. Nothing spectacular about it, just very good.
