12 ounce bottle, "Bottled on 2-19-13" So super fresh...nice

Pours medium golden amber, under a large and staying light khaki head. Bubbles slowly continue to rise. Leaves some dense sheeting and some bands of lacing.

Nose is brightly of lemons, oranges, lime, some pepper, and earthy/yeasty goodness.

Flavorful and hopped up saison, flavors picked up on the nose carry onto the palate. Accent on the lime, pepper, earthyness. Also a layer of fruity, and moderatly drying hops.

Well done - complex, fresh and tasty. Go get some.

a very clean copper pour with 2 fingers of bright white head which dissipated slowly - great retention. smells of lemongrass, bell peppers, and wheat. not too impressed on the nose. the flavor is typical saison.. a bit on the bitter side. very peppery, lots of yeast flavor, earthy dirt-like bitterness, bready, lemongrass. the bitterness makes it pretty rough on the palate. medium in body with high carbonation.

this is a decent saison. i think personally, it would be a bit better if it weren't so bitter. when combined with the high carbonation, the bitterness just smashes the palate with a dirt like taste that makes this beer kind of hard to drink.

Poured into a snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a hazy orangeish amber with a full three fingers worth of white bumpy head that soon pops away to a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of surface foam varying in thickness. Thick sudsy lacing sticks to the glass. As the last of the bottle is poured into the glass, a very noticeable amount of sediment is present creating a much more murky body.

S- Rich, effervescent saison yeast aroma that's a bit spicy and floral. A hint of soap and hops plus some fruit notes like orange, lemon and papaya.

T- Taste is an assortment of tropical fruit, yeast and mildly bitter flavors. Goes down smooth and easy for its ABV which is nearing 7%. Plenty of coriander-like spice, maybe even some jasmine plus some lemongrass.

M- Sharp, prickly feel from the medium-high carbonation is pretty much spot-on for the style and it has a lightish body. With the last bits of the bottle, a chalkier feel is produced by an increased amount of yeast sediment in the drink.

O- This is a bit better than Cellar Door IMO. So glad they started distributing to Florida.

A - Golden pour with a bubbly white foam on top. Some lacing is noted. Hazy look to the beer.

S - Citrus notes of lemon and other fruit scents are there. Slight musky smell of damp grains is present.

T - Tartness of lemon with a small hint of peppery spice. Tangy yeast strain gives the finish a puckering bite. More of a fruity saison than the typical style.

M - Smooth feel, medium bodied saison. Carbonation is minor and less than appearance. Slick oily feel.

O - First crack at Stillwater and I enjoyed this. A good farmhouse ale for the warmer months.
