Pours a clear, golden color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, hops, alcohol, cream, hint of wheat, hint of yeast, hint of bourbon, and a hint of sugar. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, sweet malt, slight earthy malt, hint of caramel malt, slight biscuit, hint of roasted malt, alcohol, hops, slight wheat, and a hint of yeast. Overall, good appearance, blend, and aroma. The tartness level is too low and the body is overly malty.

Poured at a good temperature with a mammoth, off-white, foamy, frothy, billowy, fluffy head that slowly settles and some lace. Color is a slightly hazy amber with lots of bubble trails. Aroma is a volatile blend of hop, malt, yeast, bread. Flavors like nose, fairly dry and bitter with just right carbonic tang. Body is full and carbonation is perfect. Finish is like flavor, kind of long, and leaves me looking forward to more. Excellent brew!

Courtesy of the beer exchange. By the end of my taste review the beer was 49F

A - Poured a nice orange/amber in my tulip glass, nice semi-dense looking figer of slightly off white head. Steady carbonation, amazing retention, poured this thing about 10 minutes ago, haven't touched it yet and theres still ~1cm of head. Excellent lacing

S - Semi sweet bready malts, apple/lemon/orange zesty citrus smells and a presence herbal/grassy hops.

T - Herbal and grassy quickly leads to a dry saison citric flavors followed by semi tart red wine flavors at the finish. Very simple in words but the flavor is extremely complex, this thing has a lot going on.

M - Pretty light. If 1 was light and 5 was heavy I'd say 2 maybe? Appropriate carbonation, 20 minutes (maybe more) later three is finally just a thin layer of head left with the visual carbonation immensely diminished. Very crisp, drinkable and complex @ 7.5%

O - Drinkable 7.5% , very complex, well balanced and refreshing. Awesome

I had this on-tap at the Max's Baltimore Beer Week Stillwater event. Poured into a sample glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a good size layer of off white head. Good retention.

Smell: Some tart fruity notes with a mild amount of hops. There is a sweetness as well.

Taste: Very herbal and oaky. The wine tartness is more in the background. The finish is herbal and caramely.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with aggressive carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: The oak notes along with the wine was a really nice combination with this beer. Quite good.

On tap at Max's taphouse in Baltimore. Beer is orange / amber with a mild haze, white head, some lacing, nice retention, moderate to low carbonation.

Aroma is mildly sweet with a lactic and acetic bite and a strong oak bitterness.

The overall beer is light in body but has this nice tannic finish, oaky, funk, mild lactic feel, the base beer comes through on this one well but overall it is an interesting beer. Another nice barrel sour from Stillwater.

On tap at Max's during today's Stillwater event. Served in a cervoise.

Pours a nice golden-orange color with a good white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose starts out with a bit of the wine barrel plus a good dosing of floral and citrus hops. Light oak and tannin. A bit of saison spice and mild pepper. The flavor is geared toward the barrel, though it's not overpowering. A bit of oak and peppery earth come through as well. The hops come over the top and place a close second behind the barrel. Light body and moderately bitter. Another very nice addition to Brian's barrel-aged lineup.

On tap at Max's during the Stillwater BBW event.

Pours a dark golden orange with a quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is citric and mildly funky. Stronger red wine presence than the BA Debutante, but well blended with the light spice and yeast of the saison. Very smooth and balanced flavor, well integrated between saison and red wine barrel without being as heavy handed as the BA Stateside. Starts with a subtle citrus and funky saison and finishes with a light dry, red wine flavor. Full medium body, with moderate carbonation. My favorite of the 6 current BA Stillwater beers.

Served on-tap at Max's Taphouse during their "Rare and Obscure" event.

A - Pours murky orange with a small half finger tall white head leaving little to no lacing down the glass.

S - Smells of pungent citric hops, oranges, lemons, light barn yard funk, and some vinous red wine. This one has a lot going on in it.

T - Considering how many things this beer has going on it is pretty amazing how well they all worked together. Starts off with a nice bright citric hop bite slowly giving way to a bit of the funky horse blanket from the saison core of this beer. Some vinous red wine dryness creeps in toward the end, rounding out the trifecta of flavors. Little to no trace of the alcohol hidden within this complex, yet enjoyable beer.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Rich, full, feel with a mix of all three flavor profiles lingering through the finish.

O - I am really glad I got to try this one. I liked the regular version so I figured I would give it a go. It had a ton of different things going on in it but it still remained drinkable and remarkably well balanced. Very nice beer.
