On tap at Farmer’s Cabinet in Philadelphia. Pours a slightly-hazy bright straw-yellow color with a nice white head and a bit of ringy lacing on the way down. The nose carries some notes of lemon and pineapple plus a bit of light acidity. Flavor has a touch of acidity as well, though is mostly straight Brett fruitiness with just a bit of grain in the background. Light body and crisp finish. Very easy drinking.

Draft at The Farmers' Cabinet in Philadelphia, PA.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a half finger white head that immediately settles into a thin ring.  No lacing.

Slightly funky floral aroma with musty brett, floral teas, dry oak and sweet citrus notes.  Tea is really prominent as is the brett character.  Slight acetic vinegar presence but it doesn't interfere with other elements.  Really interesting nose.

Tart, puckering mouthfeel with lots of musty, bretty funk along with a strong floral tea presence and sweet lemon/citrus flavor.  Lingering acetic vinegar in the finish had me salivating for more.  Really complex with sourness, funk, floral tea flavor and sweet citrus bouncing off of each other.  The grapefruit, lemon juice and tea notes form a nice combination of flavors.

First had: on tap at Farmers' Cabinet, Philly, PA

The Raritea line was part of Stillwater's 3x8 series brewed specially for Philly Beer Week 2012. Three breweries (Evil Twin, Cabinet, and Stillwater) each worked on one beer brewed or aged in 8 different ways. Stillwater's contribution, Raritea, was a brett-fermented saison, brewed with 8 different types of tea from the Rare Tea Cellar.

Of the 3 projects, I think Stillwater's came out the best, and had the most distinctiveness, even if they were still mostly subtle differences.

The Rooibos version appeared quite like the others in the series. Pale yellow pour, no head at all. Aroma was lightly funky and citrusy, slight dishwater scents, but within tolerance. Taste of juicy sweet tea, dry, crisp, apple skins, indistinct berries. Very fresh and delightful. Light-medium body, very drinkable.
