P: A cloudy pale straw body crowned with a white micro bubble head about a full inch high. Crazy mountain of head doesn't want to dissipate.

S: Soapy citrus, box of crayons, grapefruit, musty funk, elegant yeasty nose and typical spice profile.

T/M: Pungent citrus hops assault the palate like a battering ram. Coriander, grains of paradise, salt, dry straw and a great Belgian yeast strain. A medium effervescent body with a dry finish that lingers powdery yeast.

O: This is great stuff. An aggressive assault of hops laid in a valley of Belgian pale glory. Nice an earthy with citrus bounty. Extremely drinkable Belgian IPA that is sure to please.

Pours into a small tulip glass a slightly hazed lemony yellow with a large blooming white head that settles very slowly leaving multiple rings of thick lace behind.Lemon oils, lightly spiced phenols, and toasted grain in the nose.Lemon comes to find upfront on the palate along with some grapefruit juice, toasted cereal grain and just a hint of funk and phenol spice round out the flavors profile. Not bad and kinda refreshing, not over the top with the yeast wich is a good thing...in my opinion.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is wheaty malts with resiny hops and some spicy belgian yeast and some tropical fruit.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with some funky spicy yeast and a little fruit and a pretty big bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of sharp carbonation.

Overall, a solid spicy Belgian IPA. It has good bitterness, but the spice and funk overwhelm the hop flavors.

12 ouncer, bottled 8/29/13

Pours clouded dull yellowy amber. Moderate near white head, that stays a spell, before going to a thicker film, collar and nice lookin low strands of lacing.

Bright and zesty citric nose, mostly lemon comes to mind.

Loads of lemon and bright assorted citrus on the palate. I'd like a more prominent yeasty component, but this is still some tasty and quite worthy stuff. Biting, herbal and fresh tasting hops dry out the party in your mouth. Tasty and delicious. Go get some and enjoy. Super cool label is a bonus

12 oz bottle at fridge temp poured into a tulip. 5.7% ABV. "BTLD 8/29/13" stamped on the neck (~3 1/2 months old)

Pop ours out a really nice straw yellow color, maybe a hint of gold in there. Hazy body. Big, fluffy, rocky, pure white head, big soapy bubbles, wonderful head retention and lacing.

The aroma is that big spicey Stillwater yeast strain I've come to know. The hopiness is adding to the spiciness, lemon citrus hops, lots of yeast phenols, pepper, clove, maybe even some herbal like spiciness.

Seems more like an IPA in the taste as the aroma was more about the yeast. Still lots of spicey Belgian yeast phenols. Slightly tart lemon citrus hop bitterness. A bit of clove, white pepper.

Light mouthfeel with a high, slightly bitey carbonation. A very refreshing beer.

A very nice beer, but very similar to the 2 other Stillwater beers I've had so far(cellar door and stateside) with maybe a bit more hops in this one. Their yeast strain seems to dominate. Definatly worth a try.

A gentle pour raises a large creamy white head in my Belgian snifter. A bit of sediment remains in the bottle after a full pour. The hazy yellow-gold body smells of grassy hops and Belgian yeast, with hints of lemon and other citrus fruits plus a faint funkiness. The faint funk remains in the flavor, where the generous hopping suitable for an IPA is apparent. Fruity/grassy hop. Mild-moderate bitterness.

O: a nicely crafted 'Belgian' IPA.

A: Pale straw yellow with a slight orange glow and a gloriously large head. It fades leaving all sorts of sticky white strings and patches in its place.

S: The first thing I notice is the freshness. Then the fresh aromas themselves and how they're mixing with sweet spice and crisp grains. Everything's nice and soft too. Citrus, herbs, grass, tea, a hint of cookies, and miscellaneous wild flowers.

T: All of the above with the addition of tingly bitterness.

M: Dry, crisp, chewy, fluid, and very finely resinous.

O: This is quite well done and also easily consumable.

Appearance:
Bright, hay colored body - very hazy. Incredibly foamy brew with fantastic retention and epic lacing. This is what every IPA should look like!

Aroma:
Piney and floral hops dominate the aromascape. Light citrus sweetness with a bit of spice and heavy Belgium yeast character. Phenomenal.

Taste:
Bitterness attacks the buds with haste! Pine and grass hops hit right up front with a ground black pepper spicing things up. Light sweetness on the finish.

Mouthfeel:
Medium bodied with spot on carbonation. Finish is semi-sweet, which is a nice break from the dry finish of most IPAs I've had lately. Easy to drink (and enjoy) after the initial shock from the hop attack.

Overall:
Another tasty, brutal beer from Stillwater! I'd go as far as calling this a palate wrecker, but it's got enough character to keep you interested while your tongue takes a beating. Well worthy your coin.
