Inside this bottle you will find the fruits of a collaboration between Rivertown Brewing Co, The Rookwood, and Smooth Ambler Spirits. A delicious blend of Wild Ale, spices, and citrus, all aged in a Gin barrel, we hope this fine beverage will call to mind the classic Gin cocktail that inspired it.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a hazy dark gold color with about a half inch off-white head that fizzled away quickly. Pretty much no lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like tart citrus, green apples, and some wood. It tastes like tart citrus (a lot of lime), green apples, gin, and some funk. It's nice and tart, with a bit of sweetness noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth with low/moderate carbonation. It's easy enough to drink. I think it's a good overall brew, I wouldn't mind trying this again in the future. Hopefully Rivertown will make another batch of this! $11.99 a bottle.

Thanks to Lauren for the share.
My first from this brewery.

Golden-yellow pour, slightly hazy (more so towards the end of the bottle), with a fizzy white head that dissipated almost completely; minimal lacing; Champagne-like bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Crisp, zesty citrus in the aroma, light notes of juniper, and hints of oak. The taste was pretty nice, even for me, not being a fan of gin at all. Lemon and lime zest, with a light and crisp tartness, apple, juniper berries, some funky yeast notes and crackery malts in the background. Light-medium body, prickly carbonation. A pretty interesting and enjoyable beer overall.

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a murky golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with grain, spice, earth, fruit, wood, and gin aromas. Taste is much the same with sour fruit, spice, botanical, flora, and gin flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with unique gin barrel characteristics all around.

Very flat on carbonation. Decent flavor but not rocking as the previous reviews are showing. Picked up Dec 22 in Murphysboro, TN. Sounded worth a try.
