"Ew." That was literally what I said on my first sip. This beer is crap. On my first pour, it basically became all foam, and I wasn't even pouring that hard. Flavor is dirt, straw, hay, and nothing good, really. Ink seems to be in abundance too. Either this beer is off or it just sucks. Either way, it's becoming drainpour.

Not quite "session" and not quite "pale", but no mistake about it- its all about hops! Lighter in body than both American IPA and pale ale, but with a hoppy tilt to suggest both, thanks to the Rivertown brewers we now get a taste of IPA but with the sensibility of session ale.
Its hazy and pale gold color offers little suggestion of the bite within, but one whiff explodes with grapefruit, sassafras, leaf and fresh-cut grass. And that first sip simply zings off the tongue with the hoppy bite of sod, grapefruit, gooseberry and chive. Its aspirating bubbles refresh the palate immediately.
Quickly drying across the middle, light carbonic acids bring life to the hops and tear apart the terse caramel, bread and grain maltiness with ease. With just enough residual starch to prop up the hops, the taste citrusy, grassy and acute, its malt contributions are both dry and modestly creamy.
Effortless in finish, the sweetness has far dissolved and its hop bitterness stands prompt. Citrus peels of grapefruit, orange and lemon carry equal weight while fresh herbal presences make themselves knows- edging dangerously close to pine resin and cannabis. Absolute dryness ensues as the ale closes with crisp, clean and high refreshment; lingering only with a piquant bitterness.

Bottle > Mason Pint
A - Clear straw gold with half a finger of fizzy white head, medium lacing.
S - Vienna malt, very grassy, a little dank. Overall bland.
T - Light peppery spice, grassy earthy hops, cracker malt.
M - Light watery.
O - This is more of an extra pale ale than a session IPA. Hops are barely here.
