Got a 25.4 oz bottle for 14$
Poured with carbination stuck to the inside of the glass. About a 1/2 white head dissipating , left a nice slow dripping lace. Color is a slightly hazy golden, if you look into the bottom of the glass it has slight cherry hue.
Not much to smell, light fruit and what I call the lambic must. Light citrus/blueberry?
Taste is the fruit lambic sour, Rivertown has a wonder tasting Lambic! Great dry finish .
Mouthfeel is full then the flavors kicks in finishes sour and dry.
Overall, I am not sure why this is called an American wild ale, my pallet screams Lambic!
And a damn good one at that! Sour lovers unite!

Pours lightly hazy reddish orange with a small off-white head. The aroma has tart lemon, blackberries, vanilla, oak, light funk, blue cheese and has a nice blend of tartness and smoothness. Medium / light crisp refreshing body that still has some lush smoothness and a mild amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with oaky woodiness, sharp lemon, sour blackberry, some wild bugs, bits of vinegar and blackberry pith. The finish is very dry, sour and rustic.

The beer is hazy and golden with a small white head. The aroma offers blackberries, Iambic type funk, citrus, perhaps a touch of wine. Nice flavor. Tart and funky. Grape skins, berries, oak, vanilla. Well-balanced. Relatively light in body with a tangy finish. Another nice beer from the folks at Rivertown.
