A: Hazy orange yellow color with medium white head.
S: Aroma of malt vinegar and sour grapes.
T: Flavor of banana, citrus and bready yeast.
M: Slightly weak bodied, acceptable for the style.
D: Interesting, but not exceptional. Stick to the others of the range.

Golden colour, light. The foam is a little poor, not round...
In the smell the pear is in good evidence, notes of fresh bread, and lemon... But in the deep there is something that left some perplexity... (maybe sour?).
The taste is aiming to Duvel-like, but without the roundness and the armony of it; it is more edgy.
Aftertaste with good, sharp and dry bitter.
Medium-light body.

BB 30-01-07. Nice presentation with a great lasting white head and opalizing deep golden/bronze beercolor. Nose shows clean lager resembling yeast profile but with sour hint and caracter, next to that good pale and ambermaltmalts and touch of hops with sadly enough a greasy/soapy touch aswell as litle diacethyl butternose. Not bad but nothing compared to yesterday's tasted lager that was sublim in nose and taste. Still more then reasonable taste though that's full and malty with litle sweetness but more sourness. Good and medium bitterness followed and but again this soapy touch also. Further good and fitting carbonation make it still an enjoyable brew to me that I wouldn't mind having another one of but ehh have any of that Beersel Lager in?

picked this bad boy up at beer mania in brussels.. 11.2 oz stubby with 5/19/03 listed as bottling date...

pours a hazy yellowish peach color.. starts off with a grand fluff head.. reduces in the blink of an eye to a slight ring of foam, not much more. nose is full of buttery diacetyl, balancing nicely with some light fruits like pear and apple.. clove presence as well as summery hops.

first sip yields a bouncy, vibrant beer with good carbonation and a light, peppy mouthfeel. aroma hints of karmeliet, with red berry finish and some lemony kick. something here smells like a cinnabon. very drinkable thanks to the sweetness, resting somewhere between a sweeter lambic and the caramelly, toasted malt of a tripel. higher-than-average level of carbonation allows this beer to slide down the throat hole crisply, leaving nothing funky or weird behind. an extremely quaffable brew and perfect for a belgian summer. almost girly.

nothing too complex, tasty and comparable to any mass market belgian SPA.
