Bottle poured into a 3F stem. Enjoyed 12/7/2013. Thanks rfraga7!
Pour is a deep orange, with two fingers of off white, frothy head. Head retains for a while, and leaves some nice lacing. Smell is incredible, and easily the highlight of this beer - bright, juicy tropical fruits (mango, papaya), some lemony bite, and wrapped up in a clean, musty funk (cobwebs, basement, some hay). Taste is impressive, but not as much so as the nose. More tropical fruits that are slightly subdued. A nice lemony bite, and a delicious mineral funk. Finish develops this floral, grassy, perfume aspect that is enjoyable, but mildly offputting. Quite drinkable, with a medium level of sourness. Finish is dry. A top notch geuze that was a pleasure to have, but falls short of Blauw but quite a bit.
