Bottle to 3F stem glass
750 ml c/c
Thank you Jazz. I owe you!
App- I wish this was a color of a crayola crayon. It's a wonderful blend of reds, purples and pink. When you stare at the glass it creates a wonderful uprising of bubbles. The head starts at 2 fingers and dissipates at an alarming rate. No cling, no lace, just carbonation. You know what! I don't care.
Smell- So I will admit, I get so much on this one. It's a bigger amount of raspberries. However, I am sitting here saying this is a small amount of medicinal baby lotion with lavender and bubblegum. Okay, it's weird but it's sweet, and fruity and sweet and I love it. I can smell for days.
Taste- On the first sip, it's a different beer from most framboise or krieks I have had. The taste doesn't really follow the nose. A big amount of raspberries. A small of amount of cherry. I like the small amount of vinegar with a bit of oak behind it. A good bubbly flavor with a small amount of medicinal and bubblegum. Smaller flavor than the nose.
Mouth- A very nice medium body bordering on a thin body with a thin carbonation. Very prickly with a good amount of raspberries and cherry. Nice layering of the fruits and a small vinegar flavor.
Drink- Its very good. I like it. I'll just call it Wælsbro and say I spent too much for this, but tickers gonna tick. Cheers!

Well, I may have overpaid but novare res had it and I didn't, so I pulled the trigger. No regrets either. Phenomenal from top to bottom. Just layers and layers of sensory satisfaction. The raspberry is dominant over the cherry, but allows a (yet another) layer of flavorthat doedoesn't come from either fruit alone. Super funky with big raspberry tartness. As it warms the tart mellows and the bottom of the bottle gets better and better. Just heaven.

Poured from the bottle into a wine glass.
A-Dark pink and cloudy. Light, fluffy head. Enticing.
S-Raspberries, Cherries, straw, grass, dandelion greens, lemon zest
T-tart and citrusy up front, massive waves of funk in the middle, with tons of fruit on the finish. Endlessly complex. Each sip yielded new flavors
M-Crisp, light, very drinkable, each sip had me coming back for more
O- I had extraordinarily high expectations considering the $40 price tag I payed for this, but I was very impressed. Worth every penny

750ml bottle of batch 2. Bottled 6/26/2014. Poured into a Cantillon stemmed glass 5/19/2014.
A- beautiful dark ruby red body, two finger white head with solid retention and a nice collar, no lacing.
S- what I imagine cherries and raspberries mixed together to taste like. Lots of tart cherries mixed in with a nice jammy raspberry fruitiness. The must, funk combines with the fruits to make an interesting combination- rubber in a good way, for the lack of a better descriptor.
F- lots of raspberry fruitiness without a lot of perceived sweetness, cut by cherry fruit tartness, mixed in with a nice funk blanket and some lacto. Cherry skins, oak, leather. No rubber. Very jammy. This is a very tasty, complex combination of raspberry and cherries. The dregs have more lambic presence and is delicious. I'm looking forward to this beer in a few years..
M- medium bodied, a bit jammy and slick rather than dry like Lente was. A bit lower in carbonation than I'd like, but still enough to make it a delicious drinking experience.
O- very fruit-forward right now young; I'd have to imagine this will be even better in a few years. I'd lay down any other bottles you have right now for a while- this is a lot like how VSB drank out of the gates- a bit rough around the edges, but transforms into a worldbeater a year later. Yet, this is phenomenal even fresh.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Batch 2.
Appearance - Deep red. Pinkish in the light. Nice light pink head. Thin layer of foam on the surface.
Smell - Intense raspberry. Just a little bit of sour cherry aroma. Lightly funky. Some lemony acidity and wheat grain.
Taste - The lambic base is more dominant. Lactic sourness. The raspberry is less jammy and sweet. Wheat graininess. Funky finish with a little bit of yogurt tang lingering in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Medium carbonation. Moderately sour.
Overall - The fruit is really intense in the nose, but the lambic shines in the taste.
