Pops open with some power...
A: Poured into a tulip a mysterious, opaque tangerine colour with an enormous 2.5" butter-coloured head. Recedes slowly.
S: Acidic, earthy smells waft out to greet the nose. Earthy barnyard funk, oak, fruit. Musty basement, grape-like.
T: Starts with a very light, peppery note. Moving quickly into a tartness that throws its weight on the tongue. Very tart, apple vinegar, lightly earthy. Nice dry, puckery finish. Almost a Flanders-like vinegar note. Starts to open up nicely after some warming, allowing a greater funky depth to emerge. While cold it possessed a clean tart character, it becomes a bit more earthy, fruity, and chalky as it warms.
M: Lively carbonation keeps things interesting. Buttery/oaky finish. Dry.
D: Smooth, refined yet exhibiting a breadth of flavours.
