A: EXPLOSIVE de-corkage. As soon as I untwisted the cage, the cork took off like a rocket and took the cage with it into the stratosphere. But no beer was lost, surprisingly. Le win! Color is a golden straw color with a slight copper hue and very clear. Massive effervescence and incredible head. Beautiful lasting 1 finger pillowy white head. 4.5
S: Mmmmm FUNK! Lots of earthy funk, some ripe apple tartness. Mild acidity and some oak must. 4.5
T&M: Taste is in line with the aroma, absolutely wonderful. Funky, faint oak, and the Belgian funky earthy gueze quality you love! This is a smooth, creamy drink but also crisp and refreshing. Despite the explosive de-corkage this still has some body and isn’t too dry. Excellent. 5 / 5
O: One of the premier Belgian guezes and an excellent example of the fine art of blending aged lambics. So good. 4.5
