a 375ml bottle (green label)

poured a honey golden color with a finger of white head which dissipated pretty quickly into a thin foamy ring. a very nice funky brett aroma with some smokiness, barrels, chalk.. definitely a very unique scent. the flavor boasts a funky awesomeness that i'll try my best to describe.. mushrooms, dirt, hay, sour milk, smoked gouda.. lemons. this is just a fantastic example of the style.. the high carbonation only compliments the flavor profile for a style like this, and this beer has just that with a light to medium body, makes it very refreshing.

definitely worth checking out, and definitely going to remember to order more next time!

Cloudy orange-golden, low head, fizzy, going fast and having a low retention. The label says "open carefully", and you should do so or you might lose an eye.
Smells great, a big tartness, with citrus, green grapes, sour cherries. Lots of funky hay, barnyard and herbal notes. It really sets the stage for the taste.
And it delivers. Beautiful complex taste:sourness, strong lemon at first, like sugar-free lozenges, then a nice fruity tartness, with cherries and berries, vinegary, acidic green apple throughout, finished with very dry white wine/champagne. Lots of green notes, fresh cut grass, wet hay, mixed with oaky woodiness, "old barrel" scented. Earthy yeasts. Dry in the finish from the mentioned sourness and green grapes, but also with a nice hop presence, bringing in also some pineapple notes (really great) and a mild bitterness.
Personally i found this one too fizzy, maybe a tad lower carbonation would have been less... burpier.
A perfect rough gueuze, (almost) immaculate 5.

Appearance - Poured into a snifter, the beer was a beautiful golden color. I high intensity level of carbonation was present. The way the cork popped, I was glad I was not under a light fixture.

Smell - The aroma was most reflective of over-ripe fruit. One might also notice the level of sourness and well as an oakiness in the background.

Taste - My initial impression of the taste was the dry sour oakiness. In the midst of these elements, one might also recognize elements of lime, citrus that goes from sweet to sour in the back, and a measure of oakiness. The aftertaste is quite dry, with notes of lime sticking to the roof of the mouth with the wood lingering.

Mouthfeel - This beer is well carbonated. The sour fruits stick to the roof of the mouth. This one lingers.

Overall - I am not really a geuze kind of guy, but I can recognize a beer that is well done. This is well done.

Amber golden color with a fluffy head with short retention.
Aroma is even stronger than Cantillon Lambic, with horse blanket much more present and quite funky. It sticks to your nostrils for a while.
Same happens to its flavor, strong tartness with notes of lime, funky pineapples, lactic acid, hard green apples, vinegar and non sweet champagne. Very dry and acid aftertaste. I feel like my tongue was glued to my mouth.
Medium to full body with good carbonation that is effervescent at a second stage.
A funky party. This one is bolder than Cantillon, while the latter is more elegant. So depends on what mood you are on, but it may be a notch above the other.
