Pours a deep red with almost no head -- it fizzed up on the pour but faded instantly. I pick up predominantly horseblanket from the aroma. The cherries are there too, but I'm not sure I'd pick them up without the power of suggestion. It's mostly just the horseblanket. Taste is mouth-puckeringly sour and tart -- wonderful. Cherry is much more prominent on the palate. Mouthfeel is fairly full for a sour, with mild yet tingly carbonation and a bit of a gritty coating on your teeth.
Excellent lambic, and brutally sour. The gritty sensation in the mouthfeel and somewhat muted aroma (other than the horseblanket) are my only real knocks.
