From a bottle. Pours a deep plum/maroon with very slight head of tiny bubbles. As I drink the head hangs around, surprisingly so.
Smell is of lots of sweet/sour cherry, pomegranate, brown sugar, funk, and something I can't quite put my finger on. Really nice.
Taste is similar to nose. Sweet cherry throughout with more brown sugar and other fruity notes. It's quite sour, not bracingly so. The front is heavier on the fruit and sweet/sour, the funk runs up at the end to make sure its presence is felt. Delicious.
Mouthfeel is good. Carbonation is maybe a little high but not bad at all. The sourness is making my mouth water for this beer (appropriate).
Drinkability is surprising. It's not sour enough to turn me off and the cherry flavors mesh with the lambic funk/sour incredibly well. Could drink this like water if it was available from a tap. Very good kriek.
