So I'm sitting in my chair in my room after a long day of work and suddenly hear the odd sounds of glass moving. Not bursting, not shattering. The glass slid apart in 3 places of my one bottle of Lente..meant for long term cellaring but I had never gotten the chance to take it to the bank, daddy.
A pair of glasses survive intact..the remainder on the floor. Sadness envelopes us, but it's now time to dance.
Hazy orangey, not sure if there was a shitload of carb or an imperfection in the bottle, but the head lasts forever.
Leather and lime, an awesome and very interesting phenom. Mellow sour, more leather in the nose, more citrus in the mouth. Incredibly limey. Weird and awesome. Very smooth and delicate. A tart delight.
The 2.0 appearance comes from my bottle being broken in 3 parts and half of the liquid empty. I think that's fair.

750ml bottle with foil and C&C. Poured into a Cantillon stemmed glass 5/19/2014.
A- hazy brown-orange body, much like a lighter apple cider. Effervescent two finger white head with great retention, nice film and some lacing.
S- Very intense, funk-forward nose. Peppercorns, lemon rind, grape skin, musty hay, leather, tangerines, lactic acid. So much going on. Impressive.
F- Bold and aggressive. Citrus, lemon zest, apple skin, musty hay, black pepper, lots and lots of funk that dominates the palate. Just enough yogurt lacto in the dregs to make me smile. A vinous finish reminds me of a nice champagne.
M- Medium bodied, perfectly carbonated and not too fizzy; nicely effervescent and drinks with a real pop! Funky, musty and lemony finish.
O- I see why many argue that this is the best of the 4. I liked Zomer's subtlety that didn't sacrifice much intensity, but this is right in your face intense and incredibly complex. A lambic for the ages.
