Poured from bottle into HF wine glass. Awesome orange slightly hazy color with thick white head. The aromas fly out of the bottle upon opening...super funky typical barnyard...just great.
Taste of citrus, funky wheaty, bready, very complex...very awesome.
Its tart, and sour, but very refreshing. I was a tad underwhelmed by it, but not by any means disappointed. A truly world class brew. Cant wait to open the other 3 in the series!

A shoutout to Miamilice for trading this beer to me! Thank you very much and cheers!
750ml C&C bottle with black foil. Cork comes out of the bottle with a loud sharp pop. Poured into a pair of tulip glasses shared with a very good friend.
Appearance: slightly hazy orangish yellow bodied beer with 2 full fingers of bone white head. Somewhere between minimal and moderate lacing left behind on the side of the glass.
Smell: Right away the barnyard funk is the very first thing that I notice. Lots of fruitiness(pears, green apple, and white grapes), a hint of "yeastiness", and wheat malts that impart some sweetness in the nose of this beer. Little bit of earthiness and oak. This has such a pleasant balance in the nose that I cant wait to take a sip!
Taste: Mild tartness that is fruity; mostly lemons, green apples, white grapes, and pear. Moderate funkiness that is a combination of banyard funk and earthy funk. Nice oak barrel presence that does not overpower the beers flavor profile. Hint of yeast, slightly sweet wheat malt and it is a little grainy. The funk lingers long after each sip with a little bit of acetic sourness; this is really nice beer. Such a well balanced gueuze!
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with carbonation levels that are on the higher end of moderate carbonation, but the carbonation almost reaches high levels. Refreshing, crisp, spritzy, and dry without being too aggressive. Carbonation feels soft and creamy on the palate. So very drinkable, well rounded / balanced mouthfeel, and quite pleasant to drink. This has a perfect mouthfeel as far as a gueuze is concerned.
Overall: What a mind blowing beer! This has got to be in my top 5 to top 10 beers that I have had the privilage to drink to this date! It is a sophistocated, elegant, and neuanced beer. It is without a question the best Gueuze that I have ever drank and its the best sour beer that I have ever drank. I am completely blown away by this beer and I wish to drink this beer again someday!
