Watch out, this one is a gusher and the cork flew out as soon as I took off the cage.
Beer pours a hazy brownish-gold with a fluffy white head. Like the Winter, it's much darker than your average gueuze. Smell is nice, but doesn't hit you in the face like the Winter does. It's oaky, funky with a little bit of sour and hints of salt as well. Flavor isn't as bright as expected, there is some some nice oak and funk/cheesiness, but it's not super sour. It's also got a little bit of apple cider vinegar creeping in as well as a bit more malt than most gueuzes. There is a bit of a bitter flavor on the finish. It's more complex than the Winter, but not quite as drinkable. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with a nice coating feeling. Overall, this is yet another great gueuze from 3F, but doesn't blow me away. It's quite complex, but some of that complexity detracts from my enjoyment of it.
