Bottle from a friend in Calgary. Fuzz around the cork which was underneath black foil. Assuming it's mold, but should be fine. Bottled February 2011 so about two and a half years old.
A - Pours golden and cloudy with a one finger white head and strong carbonation. Fizzy head goes quick and there's not much lace. Fairly typical Gueuze lookin'.
S - Super lemony. Lotsa tartness. Light wheaty character, nice hay/barnyard sorta thing going on. Very inviting tart/lemon candy character. Nice.
T - Holy tart. Nice sourness, sweet lemon candy, dusty, typical Gueuze qualities. Tongue scraping and stingy sourness. Acidic. Granny smiths. Delicious.
M - Nice sour finish. Nice fairly strong carbonation, medium body. Aggressive sour feeling.
O/D - This is a boss Gueuze. Pretty aggressive stuff and doesn't hold back. Lot's of sour stuff and good flavour. Nice stuff. Really drinkable and keeps you coming back.
