Thanks to Kump for this one.
Poured from a 375ml bottle, bottled 17/02/2011, best before 02/2021.
Bit of mold around the rim near the cork, all under the foil wrapping. Undeterred, i wipe it off and pour. Pours orange-gold, good formation of head that has an average lasting. Very tart and acidic, mouth puckeringly so but masks the flavors a bit. Carbonation is very low and the sour apples come through and are pleasant. Harshness with flavor not following makes this one a slight miss for me.

Poured from a 375 mL bottle into a stemmed glass. This was bottled on 02/17/2011 so is about 3.5 years since bottling. The cork fires off immediately after I give it a little twist.
Appearance: Pours a fairly opaque deep peach/apricot, medium amber color and immediately gives several fingers of off-white head that fade relatively quickly, over several minutes though, and leave a white layer atop the beer, along with plenty of lacing.
Smell: Sour apricots/peaches, lemon, lovely floral aromas, oak, nice bretty funk, black pepper, must. Perfect amount of funk in the smell.
Taste: Sour green apple, black pepper, citrus peel, lemon, floral flavors, bread, oak. As for sourness: about a 6.5/10 - just the right amount.
Mouth-feel: Medium carbonation with a really frothy, fizzy, creamy body. Finishes quite nice and dry.
Overall: Probably the best gueuze I've had - very complex and really well done. The aroma is breathtaking and delicious and the flavor is to style and wonderful. Just the right amount of sour and funk with great flavors.
