I had this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a standard pint glass.

Appearance: Beer pours a clear amber color with a half finger of off white head. The head fades to a layer on top of the pour and leaves some mild lacing.

Smell: The smell of this one is very mild. A slight hop note with a touch of fruity sweetness. Would have liked a bit more, but it's pleasant.

Taste: Hoppy up front with come citrus peel like bitterness. The grain shows up in the background. The bready malt also has some fruity notes. The finish is bitter.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with aggressive carbonation and a finish that isn't dry enough.

Overall: There is a very nice balance to this one. I would have liked a drier finish, but I'd still be happy to have another.

Nose: light grains, a trace of ripe fruit, citrus, citrus rind. Pours hazy orange gold with 1” white foam cap, finely bubbled and lacy. Enters creamy, fruity, with some bread, citrus and resiny hops. The initial fruit sweetness dries out on the finish. It has medium body and carbonation. The carbonation is fine and soft. Easy to drink..

A visit to the Fulton Brewery is now a worthy stop on the way to a Twins game, so, we did. Good to see a new beer on tap. 16 oz. pint glass.

Pour is light orange, slightly opaque, but no sediment at all. Smell is pretty tame, bit of hops, sweetness, nothing to write home about.

The Ringer then enters the mouth & the fun begins. This is what a pale ale should taste like. Despite the relatively low 35 IBUs, the hops shine like a red dwarf. Beautiful light malt base lends a mild sweetness & gentle breadiness, with the hops coming in with a lovely citrus & bitter bite at the end - then nothing. Gone. Perhaps the cleanest beer I've ever tasted, which encourages another quick sip. Usually takes me an hour to enjoy a pint, this was gone in less than twenty minutes.

Gorgeously crafted pale ale & the best offering from Fulton to date. Simple, excellent, tasty, fresh. If you're around, stop in & try it. You won't be sorry.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles and some floating sediment. About two fingers of off white head with decent retention.

Smell: A juicy and earthy balanced aroma with hints of citrus, grass, and caramel. Citrus hops with hints of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, and pineapple. Earthy and floral hops with hints of grass. Solid malt balance with hints of caramel, grains, cracker, and yeast. A solid APA aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a nicely juicy and grassy pale ale taste with notes of citrus fruit, grass, and sweet malt. Citrus hops with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, and lemon. Solid notes of grassy and floral hops. Good backing malt presence with notes of caramel, cracker, grains, and yeast. A pretty nice balanced taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A pretty solid take on an American Pale Ale. Good juicy hop presence with a good malt balance.

I was able to have the Fulton Ringer on tap at the Pracna, served in a kind of scalloped pilsner, the beer is a chill hazed apricot with a sticky beige head.

Aroma of mangos, malts and citrus.

I like the balance on this one. Juicy fruit gum paired with caramel malts. Slightly sweet and a bit coating. More tropical fruits and pine late.

Mouth is solid and slighlty coating. I would like to have regualr access to this one.

Tasted 5 January 2015.

Pours hazy orange, a vibrant color and not quite see-through. Half a finger of white head, but great retention and lacing.

Smell is clean and faintly hoppy. Mostly herbal hops, a touch of citrus that makes it bright in the nose.

Taste is fine, but rather blah. Inoffensive up front, mildly bitter and slightly chalky in the back. Pretty standard. Which is, as I said, fine.

Feel is good enough. Pretty light, with peppy carbonation. I wish that chalky flavor would fade faster.

A decent slightly hoppy pale ale. Nothing special, but totally drinkable.

Quick review:

This is an old-school balanced Pale Ale with a mix of malts (caramel, toast, grains) and hops (traditional citrus, pine, herbal/spice notes). Good mouthfeel with a dry finish. Good APA overall, but this is really treading the same ground that Sierra Nevada did decades ago, but not quite as well.

Appearance: Full of particles, gold, good head.

Smell: Nice mix of citrus and pine.

Taste: Decent balanced pale ale with a citrus bitter finish. A bit of metallic flavor shows up though, and this bottle can not be that old.

Overall: I've had the Ringer on tap, but now it looks to be in bottles so I picked one up for review. Very nice presentation, but the taste is a little off with a light metallic note detracting from the experience. Still worth a try.

Slightly hazy apricot amber with thick sisal foam and copious lacing. Very attractive. Smell is virtually nil. Maybe light citrus? Grassy? Floral? Taste is citrus, orange and grapefruit watery to a degree some grain presence. Light bitterness. Not at all sweet. Light body but well crafted. This one is pretty nondescript all told but crafted some light flavor and bitterness..enough to be enjoyable. Certainly an entry level hop brew.

Pours a clear orange with a bubbly white head.
This is a great smelling brew! Lots of citrus and a bit of biscuit underneath.
Taste follows with lots of lemon and orange with a nice, ripe fruit sweetness and a little
bit of biscuity malt. Lots of juicy goodness with a lovely finishing bitter.
Mouthfeel is medium and slightly sticky yet fairly bubbly.
Overall, a really good aromatic pale ale.

This beer has and orange hue, with minimal lacing. The nose is mostly citrus and sweet malts, with a touch of woodsy scent. Taste is somewhat sweet, with a bit of orange peel, some musrhoomy umami, and not much else. This is a pretty uninspiring pale ale, not precisely bad, but it does not do much for me either.

Hazy orange, lots of suspended sediment. The smell is the best part of this beer, Light floral hops with a burst of orange zest in there. The taste follows the smell so you get excited at first then it falls off into a hollow, empty, metallic flavor. The Beer is torn between bitter hops or the subtle floral, citrus notes but isn't balanced, just confused.

Had on tap at delta sky club in MSP poured into a ten oz high ball glass. Pours a healthy head that lasts but might be the glass and tap as well.
Floral hop smell with a bit of resin. Good carbonation feel

12 oz bottle into an Irish pub-style imperial pint glass. Hazy amber color, lightly carbonated. 1/2 inch off-white head, receding leaving thick lacing behind. Malty, bready aroma plus some grassy hops. The initial taste has a nice malt backbone; the bitterness of the hops comes quickly, but not too strongly. The hops do not assert themselves strongly in the taste, but there is some flowery or faintly citrusy flavor with not a lot of bitterness. The finish has more bitterness, but even so, you don't get dominate malt breadiness or sweetness, either. The finish has a little malty sweetness with a bit more hops bitterness. Sorry if I'm sounding repetitious; the flavor in this beer is kind of subdued. This is a pleasant enough beer, and easily drinkable, but don't expect to be overwhelmed by any particular aspect of it. This is a great beer for a gateway to craft.

On tap at The Muddy Pig reviewed from notes.

A- Beautiful cascade very light amber to yellow colour with a 3 finger off white head.

S- Malt present with subtle hop nose. Not big, exactly what I look for in pale ales.

T- Cask flat homeyness. Subtle citrus hop with hints of apricot.

M- Medium body and very dry finish.

O- I absolutely love casked beer. I feel as though there should be a cask option for everything on tap although I realize that's not feasible but one can always dream, right? The cascade was beautiful between the colour of the beer and the head. The dryness in the finish made me continue to want more and more. Cheers.
