Located, fittingly enough, on Main Street in downtown Spokane, Main Market is a "green" or "sustainable" grocery store. Built on the site of an old Goodyear Tire, the design of the place incorporated much of the materiels left over from the demolition. Everything is either organic or locally produced. The store is solar powered and there's even tanks on the roof to catch rainwater. The store's philosophy of supporting local producers extends to the beer selection.
Located on shelves (I don't think any beers are refridgerated) there's approximately 100 or so bottled and canned choices, and the vast majority come from the PNW. Sure, there's some Euro choices (Sam Smith, some Belgians, etc) and some micros from outside the area (Sierra Nevada, New Belgium), but most are from WA, OR, or ID. The prices are competitive with other beer stores locally, and is in some ways better (Abyss was a dollar cheaper here than at Huckleberry's).
While this is a co-op, with a membership cost of $180 per year, you don't have to be a member or pay extra for your beer if you don't want to plunk down money to be a member. There's precious little parking available - plan to have to feed a meter on the street. If you are downtown and want to grab some decent beer bottles, this would be the place.
