Knowing the brewer made this beer as an "No" response to "Popping The Question," I do not fully blame him for creating this mad beast. The Ghost Chilies do not linger on the tongue, but congregate in the esophagus and create the feeling of acid reflux. The cinnamon and spice like notes come through nicely in the taste but are overpowered by chili aftertaste. Had to drain pour. Side note: tried the Yes after the No and it was a refreshing delicate fun celebratory beer, hint: She said Yes!

22oz bottle into tulip snifter.

Described as a "Ghost Chili Porter" on the bottle.
Brewer's description: "No is brewed with two ghost chili's per barrel, & a hefty dose of English malt & brown sugar to back it up. VERY SPICY!!!"

Pours clear, very dark red, near black with a foamy, off white head. It has fairly short retention, leaving a ring of foam around the glass.

Sweet, the brown sugar comes through nicely along with cocoa and light roast. Faint chili notes. Very smooth.

Sweet, malty upfront as in the nose. Brown sugar, cocoa and a light roast. Faint heat in the finish. The flavors really blend together quite nicely.

Medium body, low-medium carbonation.

An enjoyable take on a chili beer. The malt profile is very smooth, and blends well with the use of brown sugar. The chili notes are faint at first, but become much more prominent as the beer warms and more is consumed.
