A quick illustration of this bar's thoughtfulness on the beer: I watched a bartender clear a beer line for a newly tapped beer. About an hour later, the manager poured the beer and declared it flat (versus his knowledge of that particular beer). He even said that this beer previously poured too foamy. The bartender volunteered to correct the carbonation.
This establishment is long and dark, due mostly to the mid-block location opposite a large building on a narrow street. The bar is half the depth. Taps run the length of the bar about 18 inches apart. The selection is eclectic with no conventional beers and relatively few common craft beers. They are obviously seeking a clientele wanting the unusual.
My bartender was a bit "all over the place" but friendly. Midway through she stated she was working a double and wanted to cash out. I didn't see her after she closed out so I'm not sure what she meant by the double. In the end, I'd say she was "busy" without a lot of work.
The food was okay I ordered a basic Caesar salad and the ingredients were served around the late--the anchovies were whole and on the side while the croutons were on the other side. Unusual. The couple next to me loved their charcouterie.
Love the beer but not the service.

Excellent beer bar with four rotating cask taps, for those of us that prefer casks beer this is one of the few places that typically always has a few to chose form. Food is excellent, highly recommend the chicken wings, or the cheese plate. The crowd can be annoying, I'd suggest going during the summer when school is out and there are more 'adults' there rather than college students.
