Poured from a 11.2 oz bottle at 50F into a tulip.
A - Deep amber in color, ever so slightly hazy. Exceptional egg white head that really lasts, starting with the finest of bubbles and expanding as it contracts. Good lacing.
S - Grain, spice, sweetness and Belgian yeast. Typical of the style I would say...
T - First to hit the palate is the spiciness, followed by the bite of grain alcohol. Some fruit and a bit of citrus also - fairly well hopped it seems. Quite sweet, but finishes with some medicinal bitter. Belgian yeast adds to the breadiness, but I also detect a slightly metallic flavor as well. A bit rough around the edges for sure.
M - Medium bodied and in carbonation. Robust and boozy on the tongue.
D - Not the best example in terms of flavor or smoothness, I was left wanting a bit more from this one. Sipping one of these was more than enough...
