Presentation: 11.2 oz stubby brown bottle, “best before end” date on the back label. States that it is top fermented and refermented in the bottle.
Appearance: Hazed sunset orange colour. Effervescent carbonation flows quickly to the top of the glass which help hold together the off white lace which leaves sporadic rings down the glass.
Smell: Dry grainy and soft nutty yeast aroma. Dehydrated orange, pineapple and peach smell from the fruity nose within the dryness.
Taste: Medium body with a viscous mouth feel from the carbonation and the sheer texture that brings a flexed smoothness to the mouth. Obvious bitter flavours from the yeast, hops and grain. Alcohol enhances all of that and then some, dryness does not help either. Clusters of flavours hit at once with a nutty yeast, dry veggie hop, husk astringent grain and a peppery alcohol. Phenols are there and are quite strong but not overwhelming, slight medicinal flavour abound. After taste is astringent and close to being harsh.
Notes: A bold but boisterous triple that is over the top in some aspects, astringencies bring this brew down. Other than that is it not a beer not to shy from, give it a try in regards to the many other great triples out there. Put this one up against a hearty meal rather than drinking it alone.

Poured from a stubby brown bottle into my Chimay goblet. Slightly hazy amber color with a big white bubbly head. Decent retention for a Tripel and some random bands of lacing on the glass.
Aromas is fairly good. Light fruit (apples and pears), some banana and a little black pepper.
Flavor is more of the same, a bit lacking in Belgian yeast but still tasty and light with a little honey prominent in the taste as well as the other ingredients.
Mouthfeel is rich and smooth. No hint of the 10% abv. Goes down very easy, with the honey and sweetness as mart of the mix.
A good, but not great Tripel.
