This brew pours an opaque brown/orange color with a 2.5 finger fluffy cream colored head. Some of the head remains on top until the end and moderate to thick lacing remains on the glass until the end.
The smell is yeasty and fruity, maybe some apples and pears. There is also a very sweet, bubble gum like smell.
The taste is kind of earthy but bland. There is some tartness on the front end and some type of metallic taste, though not very strong, on the back end. There is also a sugary sweetness throughout. There is some bitterness and dryness left in the mouth after swallowing. The alcohol is well masked. At 10% ABV I can't say that I detect any alcohol taste.
The feel is smooth but chewy. Dry on the back end.
This is an interesting Triple. It is less clean and crisp than other triples and more funky and yeasty. I don't love it but I don't hate it; I will probably try it again.

750ml bottle courtesy of (and split with) my brother-in-law; picked up at East Shore Smokehouse in Polson, MT
Poured into a Baerlic Belgian-style tulip
P deep copper/amber w/ a 1-2f foamy slightly off-white head; looks good
N sweet fruity notes (predominantly apple); unique and inviting
T a tasty blend of fruity notes (mainly apple again) and a vanilla/honey element over toasted malt; really nice
Mf med to med-full bodied; med carb level
O different than what I expected, but really good nonetheless; would have again

The brown label and dark brown bottle hide the fact that this Belgian "tripe trappist" is a blonde beer. It is a 10% and is actually pretty malty, boozey, and smooth for blonde, but I still feel fooled. Overall, decent for this style of beer, but the color (and thick head) surprised me.

A little malty. Nice foam. Looks dark. It’s okay but not my favorite Triple

330 ml bottle, poured in a LaTrappe Chalice, At around 7 degrees, Opens with a bit of smoke. Quite a vivid beer Good two - maybe three finger white head. Disolving slowly. High carbonation, Medium bubble. Medium retention. Lovely amber orange colour.
Smell, pecan nuts, bit of flwoers, caramel, and a little bit of belgian wild yeast (Iwhich I love).
Mouth feel, creamy, bit too bitter with in the aftertaste. With a hard to define and not really pleasant herbiness.,
Taste is a bit disappointing. Bitter, almond, some strange herbs, maybe mugwort or no, it is rumex, I think, But non the less a pretty good beer, but too much glucosesirup for my liking to rate this beer as top notch.
PS: drinking it again and reviewing my first rating. For a tripple that you can buy for 1 euro and 60 cents... It is value for money. If you like bitter and not too sweet, this might be a affordable triple you like to try.

330 ml bottle, poured chilled into a taster’s snifter, in Toulouse, France. The amber beer produces a short white head and sketchy lacing. ‘Best by 01/2025’.
Aroma is honey-dipped fruit, alcohol, raisins, and yeast.
Taste follows exactly, with an alcohol punch in the mouth!
Feel is expansive, yet a tad thin, and it’s carbonated generously.
Overall, this is a big ale that needs to be sipped and savored.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice transparent orange with tons of white head. Overflowed a bit even. The nose is full of oranges, wheat, an herbal note, pears, and a slight hoppy bitterness, and a soft kiss of caramel. The taste is great. Caramel upfront, with grass, wheat, honey, orange, pear, apples, and banana. Really nice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and the ABV is slightly detectable. Overall, a great beer.

Solid beer, define tastes of banana-y cloves. Decent mouth feel, could have stood for it to be a bit heavier. Balanced sweetness. Bitter finish. A bit sharp on the stomach.
Overall good. But pales in comparison to it's competition among native Belgian abbij (and Trappist/ITA) brethren.
